One of Sunday's Projects

With a late-arriving springtime in northern Minnesota, now it's time to get a few projects done.

Yesterday I spent a few hours throwing concrete block around and re-building the fire pit at the family cabin.

Are those gaps in the lower level for draw?

I thought so.

I'm assuming you mean the gaps all the way around the lower half of the ring, since the blocks are the same size, upper and lower...
