It Was A Nice Run

Here I was worried.

Little did I realize that I was wasting my time with that worry.

The Roberts Court was entirely predictable in its madness.

Oh, sure we can still point out the short-sighted idiocy of the decision.

And we will.  Until the rules of the internet are bought by someone that doesn't appreciate debate.

But I'm sure we're all prepared for that.

I just have one, basic thought running through my mind.  What happens when a French conglomerate decides to buy a few senators?  I'm sure the free market won't mind when Russia mobsters start purchasing the House, we won't mind.  How will we react to an Indian oligarch puts a president in his pocket?

I wish that I could be as optimistic as KO here:

breaking news, world news, and news about the economy

Have we forgotten that money is a fungible commodity?

If the money owns us, we don't really have to care where that money is from, after all...
